Competition for Choreographers
International and
National Cooperation
In
order to boost the chances of the award
winning choreographers further the Ballet Company Hannover e.V. enters
into partnerships with ensembles and institutions of the national and
international dance scene. Through appearances with these
cooperation partners the choreographers will become much better known
in their field.

TWOOLS
international
is a major player in scouting for dancing talent in the Benelux
countries. The winner of the Scapino-production prize is
given
the chance to present his or her own choreography work, which will be
shown during TWOOLS International.

International
Dance Festival Athen

2008
saw the beginning of a long standing cooperation with the International
Dance Festival, Athens, which this year took place from 1st to 15th
July. Under the heading “Awards of the
International
Choreographic Competition Hannover” winners of previous
competitions, as well as this year’s prize winners were able
to
present their award winning choreography. It is the intention
that this cooperation tempts more Greek choreographers to participate
in the competition, leading to excellent Greek choreographers joining
us at the Easter-Dance-Days, Hannover.
A
similar cooperation is planned with the Spanish MASDANZA-Festival. The
three winners of this year’s competition will be introducing
their work there in the autumn.
As part of the World of Dance Festival there are an evening in 2009 when all finalists of the 22nd International
Choreographic Competition 2008 were be present. The
cooperation
is due to continue over the forthcoming years.
