International Competition for Choreographers

Review of the 22nd International Competition for Choreographers on 22nd and 23rd March 2008

Just under 150 young choreographers from all over the world, or to be precise from 45 countries, participated in the 22nd International Competition for Choreographers. From the candidates present the jury panel, consisting of Ed Wubbe, Eva-Maria Lerchenberg-Thöny und Jörg Mannes, chose 18 choreographers to participate in the contest.

From the 18 short listed choreographers eight made it to the Finals. The finalists were Michal Rynia/Zoran Markovic, Jérôme Delbey, Rosana Hribar/Gregor Luštek, Xiaohe Liu/Disha Zhang/Juanjuan Sun, Alan Lucien Öyen, Armando Braswell and Mirko Guido.
